| Ron & Daphne Akers Owners of DARA Construction DARA Construction is a company committed to creating a fresh new architectural design with a superior quality of construction for vacation homes in the Outer Banks. Ron and Daphne Akers established a successful consulting company based in Richmond, Virginia prior to making the Outer Banks their home. Their company managed construction projects for Sun Trust Bank, GE Lighting, and other large corporations. They have developed real estate in the Outer Banks for the past 10 years. Ron's role is to negotiate the acquisitions of property and develop new projects. Daphne manages the back office and provides interior design and furnishes DARA's vacation homes. |
| Ron Akers continues to be active in the community. He serves as President for the two local Home Owner's Associations and as a Director for the Outer Banks Home Builder's Association in 2003 and 2004. Mr. Akers was made Vice President of the Outer Banks Home Builder's Association in 2004 and plans to be President in 2008. Ron Akers was given the President's Award in 2004 for outstanding service within the community and the Outer Banks Home Builder's Association. John Williams Co-Owner of DARA Construction John Williams, Co-Owner of DARA Construction, has over 25 years of experience building homes and commercial real-estate projects in North Carolina. The loyalty and trust he has established with the sub-contractor community has proven invaluable to our company's success. John provided the general contracting license which includes commercial and residential construction that launched the company. He supervises all construction, compiles the job costing estimates, and manages all of DARA's crews and sub-contractors. |
